Decide a 440

Hello a friend of mine has a 440 that I have an interest in buying. He knows it’s an HP out of a Coronet R/T, but not much else about it. I hope someone on here can decode it from the pictures he sent me.

In your first photo above the block casting number and behind the exhaust manifold outlet will be the block casting date in the same size numbers.

I put this graphic together for the last 1969 440 engine I sold. Some of it applies to your 440. We need a picture of the casting date just above the 2536430-7 casting number. It should be prior to 11/16/1969 as that is the date your engine was assembled at the Trenton, Michigan assembly plant. For some reason, several of your pictures have large areas of black showing. Can you upload them again?
I have already built the graphic for your engine but need to add the casting date info. I will post it once you post the casting date picture. If you have a fender tag picture and a car picture, I will add that, too.

Thank you, I will have to stop at my buddies to get that photo. I can partially see it in the photo. He didn’t understand when I tried to explain it to him.
As for the car, he bought just the motor. So I’m not sure if the car is still around or a chunk of steel.

That looks amazing, talking with him this morning it appears the engine was from his father’s Coronet. It appears the car was wrecked long ago and that is the only surviving piece from the car.

So he might have a picture or have knowledge about the color of the car. Interesting. Still need the casting date.
