decoding engine block

can any one help me with decoding this block date code. the seller said its a matching 340 engine in a 1970 cuda any help would be GREAT.

The numbers you need to look at are the stamped ones located on the block below the head. It is on the front of the block. I haven't worked on small blocks in a long time. I believe it is stamped on the drivers side front. The number will contain part of the VIN number. Write the number down and post it here.

this number was on the right side under the head didnt see any in the front right side.

The vin # should be stamped on the machined boss on the passenger side at the bottom of the block just above the oil pan and the casting date is above that. You can see the boss in the first pic, it's about 3" long by about 3/4 of an inch wide and the close-up is of the numbers stamped on that surface are the vin for my `70 Challenger 340.
