On my 70 Baracuda,I pulled my dash to have it redone and to look for water leaks on the firewall, that I couldn't find from the outside. I noticed a big gap between the defroster vent and the heater vents. Is this normal? If I recall correctly, my defroster did work. Thanks

Cars with A/C had a rubber seal that would partially close that gap. You could add some sheet style rubber cut into a strip and then wrap the larger opening to close that gap which would increase the defroster air flow. If you do add some rubber, only attach it to the upper or lower piece and not to both. Attaching it to both may not allow enough flexing between the two pieces.

I have a piece of thick rubber gasket material. I'll give it a try. Thanks
