Differents between a 6-cylinder -70 dodge challenger and a -70 challanger with a v8?

Hey!

The question is like the title says. Is it any different or anything? Did the -70 challenger 6-cylinder car have drumbrakes and the v8s have brake discs? Would really like to know this!

Disc brakes were optional on 1970-72 Barracuda and Challenger. I believe that Disc brakes were standard on the T/A & AAR.

The 318 had a differently rated suspension. The torsion bars were larger to handle the V-8 weight.

Very true. Were you looking for all of the differences or only the brakes ? If you want that kind of info it is best to get a Factory Service Manual. That is the first thing you should get anyway if you are going to be working on your car yourself.

lots of differences but nothing major , exhaust mount in the trunk will be on the right on a 318 , left on a slant 6 , probably a 7 1/4 diff , different suspension although sway bars were optional , K frame is totally different , bigger V* had torque boxes , skid plates to protect the oil pan , r/t had 11x3" drums or disc , 6 would have smaller 10" front drums , everything can be changed
