What type of sound deadener do you put on the door panel? Spray on? Felt?

Door skin? Spray on?

Thanks much for all comments.

I have a 70 Challenger and have experienced every symptom/problem noted above.

Confirms that 70 Challenger was rushed into production and that new car owners were guinea pigs in helping locate problems.

I didn't used any additional materials in the doors. Just correctly assembled/correct pieces. I'm sure they'll wear and rattle at some point.
First year cars, have all the cool **** and problems. Besides, they were only supposed to last 5 years.

I used Hushmat on both of my E bodies.

Mine have been completely apart and reassembled without any sound deadner, like the floors. All new clips etc installed. I don’t hear any rattling when closing the doors. Just solid. Like posted previously, probably the rods touching. ?
