The heads are part of a total package. What exactly are you building ? Block, crank, rods, bore, stroke, cam, intake, exhaust, gearing, trans type, ? Stock engine with just a head change?
Top end packages are available from both Indy Cylinder head and Edelbrock. These come with heads, intake, carb, cam kit

the Only advantage to Eddy heads is price the Indys are better , we did a costly Eddy head swap from ported 452 heads & gained a Whopping 3 RWHP , the valves hit the pistons so the pistons had to be flycut to clear the slightly different valve positions , we ported the eddy heads , the rockers did not center over the valve tips properly , all for 3 hp !!

Both companies sell poorly executed but decent heads. Indy's valve work sucks, as does Edelbrock's. Of the two, the RPMs typically need less to make right. If you buy Indy - buy them from a goo distributor and have them assemble them for you. If you buy either package, you should have a performance shop go over the as-delivered valve job so add in the cost in the budget. Also - you need to determine which pistons you have - there are two flat top forged. One is lower compression because of a lower compression height and they sit down in the block. Also make sure you ge tthe right head bolt package respectively, and use the Fel Pro Performance 1009 gaskets with either of them.
