Guys help me out!... I have a 340 and i just put a new 180 stat in.. Switched it from the 195 cause it was running about 220... Now she runs no hotter than 200...my question is this temperature ok, or do i want a 160 stat in? I know the cooler the motor the better for hp, but i also heard too low a temp also is bad for hp....so where are your guys motors running...I had an old chevy before this, and it ran 180 all day! ..... So am i good or do i need to lower the stat?....... Thanks !!
