What is the recommended finish on the ashtray housing for 70 Cuda. It appears it was maybe a black zinc or similar from factory.

Believe those are just painted. My cars all have black interior and that insert is a flat black. I have no experience with colored dashes however.

Painted mine semi gloss black, seemed to be that originally?
