I'm thinking it might be ignition related but I would like you guys to pitch in to this.

From a dead stop, if I push the pedal all the way down quickly, it feels like the car is missing fuel or something and is ready to stall and then go. Now if I push the pedal anywhere from all the way and then all the way, I have no issues.
Do you think it's just a tuning issue, or could it be related to my Jacob ignition system?

Thanks

It may be the accelerator pump, depends on the carb type. Also, only a car set up for the strip will approach instant acceleration Remember that when you push the gas pedal to the floor only the carbs butterflies are instantly opened. There will be a delay for the fuel system to react to the additional airflow. The job of the accelerator pump is to squirt additional fuel into the carb to help compensate for the lean condition caused by the opening throttle blades. Fuel injection is electronically controlled which almost totally compensates for sudden throttle opening.

Ahh ok, did not realise this. You might be right because I only have this issue from a dead stop with pedal to the floor. But Will look at my accelerator pump and see if something is wrong with it just in case.

Your float level is very important to the squirter working proper. start there. If it is a holley, you can make this adj without taking the carb apart.
If timing isn't right could cause same problem. check the floats first!

With the air cleaner off, just barely move the throttle, if it don't squirt it maybe you float level or squirter add.....or both.
so what is your knowledge level on rebuilding a holley carb?

do you know anybody that does?
I can try and explain but if you know someone, watching it done for the first time is way better then any book or forum for that matter.

Don't get me wrong, drove the car today to work And i had no issues while driving. But I would like it to respond from a dead stop with full throttle. I see some leisure 1/4 mile racing in my future
Love the car.

Make sure eng is completely warm, do a stomp from a dead stop. do it again with the eng stalled up a little.(left foot on brake right on throttle) raise the rpm up a little and then wack the throttle.
If it don't stumble, squirter is off just a little bit.

Yeah i know some people, will ask around. But when you say rebuild, can't be a full rebuild?

I asked about the rebuild because there is some good destructions (instructions) that guides you through setting the squirters up right. in the carb rebuild kit.
No you don't need to rebuild the carb for this problem. at the vary most you may need to buy a squirter diaphragm. but if it was bad, you would have gas leaking around it.

Yeah I'll do it again to be sure, but I tried it already and no bug on the stall

That means you squirters are working farlly good, just need a little tweaking.
Hang on a sec.

k here is a youtube showing how to set the floats.
watch this and then go to your local parts store and order some gaskets for the float adj. if the gasket brakes, you will need to find another car to get to the parts store.
You have to start here.......and it may fix everything.

Here is how to adj pump squirter. Don't pay much attention with replacing the pump squirter it's self(your close enough you won't need any)
Remember the feeler gauge is set at full throttle not at idle!!!!

Ok i looked at the fuel level and my primary was not adjusted correctly, it did not get enough fuel. But it did not fix the problem. I took a video. Tell me what you think. I did not play with the jets yet.

verify 100% that the instant that you move the throttle,at all, the squirter pump arm moves!!!!!
I'm glad you posted a video.
Sound like you need more timing. what is your timing at idle and at 3000 rpm?
