Headlight switch bezel hole

Does anyone know what this opening is for on the lower right side of the headlight switch bezel?

Light shines down for heater controls I believe.

Thanks but that hole is on the bottom, it would shine down to your feet. That makes sense but I don't think that's what it's for.

The plugged lower right side hole in the bezel is for the power top option.
Didn't see your squigilly line until I posted.

Lower right side hole is for a convertible top switch or rear defroster switch Picture is my 1970 challenger convertible.

It was actually the slot on the very bottom of the bezel that I was asking about. Found out it's for the A/C-Heater panel light.

It would’ve required heat to be a defroster it was just a defogger.
