so I have a set of heads givin to me along with the 383 engine im not sure what they belong too but will they work with the 70 383 the casting #s are 4006452

Yes, they will work. They have hardened exhaust seats for the unleaded fuel. This is a good thing.

The 452 heads were the last productions castings used for big blocks , they are decent heads & do have induction hardened seats but if you do a valave job on the heads it is possible to cut through the hardening with a typical valve seat touch up . decent flow for production heads , unfortunatly open chamber so no quench , quench is desirable to stop detonation , they can be ported to help flow
