I currently have an old style ac heater control valve which is all metal. It has sat for over twenty two years without any water in the part. The interior looks some what rusty. It took me three years to find the part when the car was running. Finally around 1999 I bought the part thru year one. I'm looking to find the part again but the one I find is on eBay and plastic.
