I have a 1970 Barracuda that I am now missing the trunk latch. It was there before going to body shop. So I think they lost it. I am assembling the car and I am looking for a new trunk latch. I thought mine had an arm on it that the lock cyl rod clipped onto it. The ones I see for sale do not. Please advise!

Thanks!

So the latched I am finding on eBay are probably challenger.
Is this what I am looking for?

Uncertain. Are you expecting a "genuine barracuda trunk latch" to be sild with the rod?

Compare to a door latch or door handle, I don't believe those assemblies "come with" any connective rods... that's a separate thing.

The dealer parts book lists differing latches for the barracuda and challenger. challenger is shared with other models. The barracuda is unique #2999 345. Only the barracuda has the rod, or LINK, Deck Lid Latch Release, #2999 349.
