Hi, my name is Joe. I own a 1970 Cuda, 340 that I am having (no) electric and starting issues with. The car has a good battery but there is no electric. After fooling around, jiggling a few parts wires, I noticed I could get at least some power (lights, horn, etc) when I jiggled one of the clusters of wires going to the bulkhead, I could get power on and off but still nothing to the ignition switch. So can anyone help, suggest possible problem and resolution. I would really apprec any and all suggestions to solve my electric no start issue. Thanks Joe

Joe, welcome to FEBO! I would start by removing the bulk head connector and see what it looks like inside. You might have some corrosion that's causing multiple issues! I'm sure other electrical savy members will give you some more ideas on what to check. Again, welcome to the site! :)

The welcome wagon is a great thread to get acquainted. You might be further ahead to start a thread in the electrical forums.

Thanks for the welcome and quick response. Yes have plans on checking the bulkhead, since I am sure I have bad wires and or connectors, since when I fooled with it the power came on off. But still couldn’t get anything at the starter.

Make sure you put dielectric grease in the bulk head connector or at least freshen it up. Also, like toolmanmike said, go ahead and move this thread to the electrical forum. :)

Welcome from Little Rock! I would check the wide connector under the steering column, not uncommon to a burnt spot ( red wire). This goes back to your ignition switch.
