Hello, my father and I found a 71 Cuda last year. The ad we found had little to no information about the car but that's part of the adventure so we decided to go and check it out anyway.
Come to think of it, I believe the ad simply said "Orange with black interior, rally dash. Good driver. Owned for last 34 years".
To my surprise the car had its fender tag, to my surprise again the options on it were quite favorable (though most have been swapped all around).

I was wondering how rare 340 N96 cars are and out of pure curiosity wondering if anyone knows this car. VIN BS23H1B298486. Thanks a ton.

Well, they only made around 2500 340 Cudas. I would think 10% of them might have had the N96 option. Just guessing though.

Not sure how many were 340 cars, here are total production numbers for 1971.

I read some info that stated there were only 400 Shaker equipped Dodge Challengers in 1970-71.
This was across all the engine options available with the N96 option.
A hemi Cuda got a Shaker automatically a hemi Challenger did not.
I don't want to guess at numbers but the car you are looking at would be rare for sure.

Cool car and pretty rare. The Shaker hood option is the coolest option ever. Hate to say it, but I even like the Trans Ams and Pontiac Can Ams for this same reason.
