I'm looking for the correct color and texture paint, for the steering column in my `cuda. It's a F8 interior, and I want the correct color and satin/texture finish. Who makes this stuff?

Thanks.

Thanks. I had most of the metal done years ago, when all the codes and abilities were readily available. I'll try the paint supply houses to see if anybody still does this. The whole interior is done, except for the column and console.

I packed many of my books away in anticipation of moving. You need to find the trim section of a 1970 Plymouth service manual. It will give you your paint codes. You are looking for what they called a low gloss finish. Mopar used laquer paint to get the low gloss finish. If you can't get the laquer in the color you want, you can always add a flattening agent to the paint you can buy.

Mmissle, every time I type lacquer in the above post it comes out laquer when I save. I don't know why.
