Greetings
I am restoring a 1970 Cuda 340 B5 blue on blue on blue. I believe most of the interior paint should be Eb5 Brite Blue but isn't the dash, ash tray and glove box lid Eb7 Jamaica Blue AKA Med Blue Poly?

There is no interior paint on an E-Body! 😁

But your dashpad, carpet, steering column and headliner should be blue with your seat covers. The last two digits of your 4 digit trim code will show what they should be.

My 70 Cuda 383 is EB7 Blue ( Jamaica Blue )exterior with EB5 Blue (Bright Blue) interior. As far as I know, everything inside the car is EB5. States it all clearly on the fender tag and the build sheet.

h6b5 stands for High, vinyl buckets, b5 blue
Also the tech manual under interior low gloss paint for dash frame, ashtray, glovebox lid it says eb7 Jamaica blue(med blue poly) the rest of the interior is brite blue eb5. Does that sound right?

Given the interior code of H6B5, it is my interpretation and understanding, the color of the dash frame, and all the related dash parts, will be painted in EB5 blue. The ash tray and glove box doors are NOT a different color than the dash frame.

Instrument Panel. Windshield Header Molding. "A" Pillar Header Cap Outboard. Convertible Header Molding and Folding Latch Top Lock. Grilles and Stereo Speakers. Ash Tray Door. Glove Box Door Outer-Inner with Check Arm. Rear Shelf Defogger Bezel. Bucket Seat Hinge Cover.

The broadcast sheet will have the steering column color, which is typically black on standard dashes, but sometimes matches the dash frame color on rallye dash cars.

A Ralley Dash would have a color matched steering column and a standard dash would have a black column.
All the metal interior parts would be painted the same. That paint has a 'suede' finish
The interior plastic parts needs a different paint. (adhesion and flex agents) Color match can be a challenge.
Package tray is the same interior paint color.

My '70 EB5/EB5, the original interior was *all* B5. When restoring it, I used Herbs for the dash pad and it was a pretty spot on match. I had my dash frame and interior trim powder coated though, the match is pretty close.
Herb's Parts: HERBS PARTS INTERIOR PAINT, Interior Paint, PAINT

Edit: I added contrasting pics of the original before it was restored. The lower is a suede and the powder coating did a good job of being pretty darn close

My blue 70 Challenger was a original blue interior car with a blue painted frame. Previous owners had painted, dyed and replaced everything with black interior so I just kept it black at this point. Obviously, there is nothing stock about the car now.
