Hi all, I always thought I had a blown bulb but turns out... NO. Any idea where the yellow wire should come from? The only black/yellow I could find in the car and in the wiring diagram is from the seat belt relay, maybe this empty connector? But Why would it be going to the instrument / switches lights? Needless to say that bulb in particular isn't working so any help is appreciated. I thought all the bulbs in there had the same wiring. Thank you.

That bulb is on the time-delay relay circuit, same as the ignition switch bulb. When functioning correctly, it will light up the headlamp switch, along with the ignition switch, for a minute or two when/after opening the door. It is not part of the normal instrument illumination circuit.

Thank you! Coukdnfind in the diagram. That helps, I'll spend some time checking again asap. Cheers.

Here's something else that might be useful. The author's company name was edited out of the picture because they have since retired.

Just installed a new Standard Motor Products RY300 purchased at O'Reilly's. In stock for $20.00.
Like having a whole new dash!!

Get the delay timer I think it is a nice feature to have working.
I would not try to bypass it. I guess it could be done.
