Hi! I'm considering upgrading my heads to alluminium heads to produce around 400HP+. I want to keep the 440 as a good street machine. Please provide me with your recommendations. Also I'm trying to get a 15 inches wheel as a spare. Where can I get this used or new. Thanks!

Classic Industries has the 15" Rallye wheels if that is what you are looking for. That's where I got my "spare".

I decided to sell my car stock, so I've got a new set of Speedmaster 74cc alum heads for sale, as well as other performance parts for BB. I swapped my factory 14s for 15" Rallyes from Summit. Very pleased with them.

How much do you want for your heads? Also anyone wants to tell me if it's a good idea to convert my 440 HP to a 440 Six pack and how much it will cost me. Will this increase the market value of my 1970 CUDA or not. Thanks! The guy tha t sold me the car tells me that the motor is a 440 Sis pack. I have my dought because it does nt have the six packs carburator. How do I confirm that the motor is a Six Pack?

Well I'm down finalising my choice to correct the low compression on my 440 - the compression is about 110 on each cylinder. I'm totaly disapointed about those result as the engine only has about 700 miles since it was redone. I have a mechanic that will remove the heads to find out what is the cause of this low compression. We semm to have two option to raise the compression to about 10:5 - over 160 on each cylinder. Option 1 is to resurface the heds and block to raise the compression 2) Install alluminium heads = here I'm considering the aluminium heads part 200-1055 from 440source as I'm being told that they are a good match tothe cam that I have: COMP:

  • Comp BB Extreme Energy cam – part no. COM212-223-4
  • Note: this cam has the following specs:
1600 to 5800 RPM

Duration: 268 Int. - 280 exhaust

Lift : 477 Int. - 480 exhaust

I'm trying to achieve the followings:
CR of 10:5 -- 160 on each cylinder
425 HP
Good driving machine.

Any advice please - thanks!

I have a 3:23 ration rear-end - should I replace this with a 3:55?
