Got a pair of rear footwell pans for a 70 Challenger from AMD about a week ago. More quality issues. Flange on pass side near seat belt anchor is undercut by about 1/2 inch and one drain hole is punched pointing up on both pans. Talked to Aaron at AMD and he confirmed their entire shipment was the same so he couldn't ship me any others. Still waiting to see what they are going to do on the ones I have. If they are the best I hate to see the worst.

That sucks! I assume they will take it back and send you new ones when they get a good batch from their vendor? No replacing the lost time for you though waiting on a new one! I guess they don`t inspect the product when it arrives before selling it? For once I hope it`s made in China and not made in the U.S.A!

I hope they at least knock a little off the price for your inconvienence. Or better yet send out new panels at no cost!

The story I finally got from Aaron at AMD was that some did come with holes dimpled in opposite directions, and as for the undercut flange they are going to knock off $30. I think the days of AMD being the hands down best are over. I think some parts are ALL made on the same tools and the only difference is what different buyers will accept for quality. I wouldn't be surprised if the owner sells this company and moves on to another one again. IMO Just another example of why it is so expensive and difficult to redo muscle cars.

that is sad but you are probably right, companies get big and the quality gos down.I believe AMD bought the sheet metal presses from Dodge.
