MSD 6AL2 Box Mounting

Where and how is everyone mounting their MSD control unit? I’m thinking on the firewall to the left (passenger side) of the voltage regulator would be best however you can only get to 2 of the mounting holes through the cowl. How much room by the pinch weld seem would you be able to drill without hitting the heater box would you have?
