Need help identifying what goes here?

Hey guys I'm working on a 1970 challenger 4 speed car. On the side of the clutch/brake pedal assembly is this bracket. Does anyone know what goes in it? As always I appreciate any help. Thanks.

For the flasher canister, there is also one on the side of the ash tray. One is for the turn signals and one for the 4 way flashers. I can't remember which one is which though.

That is right , it is not a relay but a flasher unit

Thanks. Didn't realize I was missing the bracket on the ash tray. Luckily I found it in my spare parts box.

One more thing, can you use the same part for both?

Yes , you do need a different unit if you use LED bulbs .
