Steel shim gaskets ok to use on aluminum will i run into issues

You see metal shim gaskets used on aluminium heads with cast iron blocks on a lot of modern engines but most of them also have stretch to yield head bolts I know a lot of turbo engines use them because they resist failure better then composite gaskets. SCE make some copper gaskets with silicone beads to seal water and oil passages and some with built in o'rings but having cast iron, copper and aluminium may cause electrolysis corrosion.

Just use a set of .027 3 layer MLS head gaskets, they are the best made
we sell them for $72 each to board members
