Thanks for the pics. You have a nice clean setup.I can add a few photos of the Vapor-Liquid Separator as I just installed mine in my 72 Challenger several days ago. The single hose coming out of the top goes through the steel line to the charcoal canister located in the engine bay - in the 72 Challenger, it's next to the washer fluid bottle. My car is not a stock restoration so I used screw hose clamps. I hope this helps. I also recommend adding a separate ground wire to the fuel tank sending unit. I've never been satisfied with the ground provided by the stock strap visible in my photo.

When I got my other classic inspected they didn't even inspect the brakes. They just asked me if the brakes were good. I guess I look trustworthy. lol.Since your car is more than 25 years old, NY just inspects brakes, and other than smog BS. Unless you want all that BS, run the tanks inc. with the pump and run a return line and a regulator and you'll be good to go.
