Hi guys, new member i am 26yo and never had any experience with mopar and i am looking at purchasing a 1973 barracuda 340 auto, it looks like a good body but yet to look under it, where and what's the points to look for rust or patch up? Basically the common areas for rust. Thanks in advance

The first thing I look at is the wheel houses I want to see spot welds! if you can get it on A lift, look at frame rails torsion bar cross member. spring perch and shackle area. inside the trunk and around the back window. if it has A vinyl to look for bubbles or blisters. floor pans can fool you as they can look good from underneath but rust from inside under the carpet. good luck, and welcome aboard!

other things to look at are if it's a cloned 'cuda vs. a barracuda. The 'cuda has a different vin starting with BS23 and the barracuda starts with a BH23.
Also the part of the vin is stamped into the radiator support and the cowl by the driver side window. Those should match.

if you get some photo's up and condition and price I am sure some will chime in to what it's worth!
