For documenting your progress start a thread in the Restoration Forum even though you are not doing a full resto. For specific questions you may have on say the engine, suspension, cooling, or whatever start a thread in those specific forums. Hope this helps.

Thank you, I have done a lot of resto work since this post. I hope to have my Fish done this summer. Waiting on a few back order parts. I need to order the White Top & Glass Window which sounds like it’s a long wait with Legendary. 🏝

Hey all just posting up some progress on my 1970 Barracuda Vert. I have sourced all the parts needed to finish the resto. Only two of those parts are on back order. After some serious thought I decided like any guy “I want to know what’s under the Dress.” So after checking out the local paint & body shops, I found one that does exceptional work in Classic Cars. So I pulled the trigger to have her stripped down to bare metal to see what she really looks like under the makeup after 54 years. I was actually surprised at what was revealed and now know without a doubt what I’m working with. Here are a few photos of her in bare metal. Not bad, only one rust hole about the size of a nickel on the lower passenger side near the rear wheel. Also some pretty good dents and bondo filler in a few places. All body defects are being addressed and metal replaced. In the mean time I’m looking at paint colors, but I’m really leaning towards the Original Ice Blue Metalic. 🏝

Hi All, it’s been a 3 year journey of ups and downs working on my Fish. Finally completed the project (I know never completely done) to where its road ready and represents well. A rotisserie restoration wasn’t needed as the bones were really good. However, a bare metal strip down and repaint in the original EB3 color was done. That took 14 months to have completed. I did take some liberties to make it my car which can easily be corrected by the next caretaker if desired. Anyway, you guys know what it takes to go through an Ebody in order to save one. I have always believed the Ebody is the Sexiest American Car made. I also discovered it maybe one of the costliest to restore as well. Without FEBO Members it would have been a difficult process. Appreciate all the positive responses, assistance, and sharing your knowledge. Regards Rob

Beautiful car. The costs of restoring a ebody car is double the cost of Ford, or gm. They just didn't make very many e bodies. Enjoy it, it's worth the costs.
