Hello, Was wondering if anybody else has been using the Powermaster PWM-17509 alternator, using a voltage regulator bolted to the firewall. (I've had this on the Challenger since 2006 but it's starting to fade).
Checked around and the PWM-17509 is on backorder BUT I can get the PWM-175091 which is the newer version and has a built in regulator. Any do's or don'ts? Where should I ground the starter most effectively? Thanks

Well my best suggestion is to avoid Powermaster entirely , I have witnessed some lasting only a coupe of hours .
I had a local rebuilder that could build me anything I needed .
any alternater should ground through the mounting , , the field grounds through the regulator controlling the power output .
