Hi everyone, thanks in advance. I have a 73 nearing completion of restoration and I want to add the factory side stripe/sticker.

The car is factory 340 Auto and I prefer the 340 hockey puck decal however if its not correct for a 73, I wont use it.

Can anyone confirm the 340 hockey puck was an option? or are all 73 Cuda just a plain decal pic)

I would do what ever I want. When thees car were designed and built, there were a number of Brains working on them, not computers. I would like to see what they come up with. Strobe,Hockey,Billboard and others were all tastefully and appropriately done. The hockey stick stripe,For the call out I would do something different. Have CUDA or KMA kiss my as. As Per Charlie Sheen Platoon. If it was a rare car 440,426,collectable or what ever. I would keep it stock. The stripe can be changed if you change your mind. I think you are allowed to do that.

I went thru the same thinking process and went with the 340 hockey stick decal. You can always change it back. See the new restoration with the new strip and the original strip when I bought the car.
Either way I am sure its going to look great with that color combination.

IMO the hockey stripe looks way better than the factory 72-74 side stripe. That always made me think the designer was lazy, just looks blah..

I agree with you on that! I would also go with the hockey stick stripe, do what makes you happy, not what pleases a few critics!

Are you building the car to be professionally judged after you trailer it to shows, or are you building it to enjoy? Mine is a '73. It is a "Cuda" so most of it is correct. However the wing, the stripe and a few other things are not. But it is what I like and enjoy everyday when I get in and drive it!!! To hell with anyone who judges you.
