I think Leo is right in that the hood will interchange although there were some slight differences between them. The non crumple zone hood was done away with at the end of '69 so cars built before January of '70 would have had them. Hinges may have been particular to '70 as well as was the trim along the leading edge but I think you can put the correct trim on a later hood.

The underside of the 70 hood is different from the latch forward. The mouldings still interchange. A real 70 hood is hard to come by. The reproduction hoods are 71 style. Very few people know the difference. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
