Anyone, have any suggestions on how to install the aluminum back-plate with corner tabs to fixate onto the gauge housings with the Rallye Woodgrain Overlay?

Preform the cluster plates before applying adhesive.

Bottom line is to TAKE YOUR TIME with the process. Work the aluminum gently until it fits nicely into the plastic housing. At that point the tabs will align properly with the slots in the housing. I removed the standard instrument cluster in my Challenger and went to the rallye style (using Dakota Digital). It was a good bit of work but looks nice now. Biggest issue for me was when the cluster/bezel was all assembled I had to get it into the dash. Took some massaging but it did fit. Don't be in a hurry! If you start being frustrated take a step back, have a nice cup of tea, and when things settle down again go back at it. You'll be glad you did.

3M adhesive spray on both sides. Don't be in a hurry. Follow the directions and allow the spray to get tacky. Once it stuck down, place some small welding magnets on the overlay in a few places. The magnets do a great job of clamping the aluminum overlay to the metal backing plate. Prior to placing the magnets put a small piece of painters tape or something like it between the magnet and the overlay to protect the finish.

And pre-bend/ pre-fit like suggested above for sure.
