Offering a rare Direct Connection (DC) racing ALL aluminum 4-speed survivor that has been in Arizona dry storage since 1982 . This is a "blank" casting, meaning no casting numbers, identifying it as an off-highway/performance parts unit rather than an assembly-line box. Main case is aluminum, side cover is aluminum, and short tailshaft is aluminum. Presented in its 1970s period correct dirt, grease, and patina.

Technical Specs & Machinist Notes:

• Case Type: Reinforced DC Aluminum "Blank" with Steel-Bushed Countershaft Bore.
• Gear Set: 23 spline input, verified 2.66 Close-Ratio gears with internal 34-24-34 blueprint marks stamped on vin pad.
• Tailshaft: Short-tail (A-Body length) with the rear shifter mounting pad, 30 spline output and plugged speedo.
• Internals: High-spec bronze shift forks and a 4.80" cast iron Hemi bearing retainer.
• Extras: Includes the original 1970 Small Block Aluminum Bell Housing and Hurst mounting plate/welded shift rods.

Provenance:Acquired in 1982; custom-stamped "CLIFF K (Cliff Knight Inc., Livonia Michigan) 021 34 24 34" on the VIN pad on the case, originating from the Detroit-area Mopar performance scene. Side cover is currently off for inspection of the gears and bronze forks.

That's an A body transmission. Won't work in an E body without swapping the tailshaft and the tailshaft housing.

That is correct. My mistake in the description (edited it). It is the short tailshaft with 30 spline output shaft.
