rear end question

I am wanting to change my rear end. it now has a pro street 8.75 drum brake with moser axles. I want to loose the 31" tire / 15" wheel and go back to a 12 inch wheel with disc brakes. would it be better/ cheaper to have someone weld longer tubes on my current set up or just replace the rear with something else?

I agree looks fine as is , probably better to sell the narrowed diff & get some $$ towards a new Dana , I would contact Dr Diff / Cass in MT .
Not sure why you want to go to rear disc , unless you are racing there is little benefit as the rear brakes typically do maybe 20% of the work & overheating the drums on repeated stops is unlikely unless you are racing , you often lose the tapered rear brgs in the swap which will hurt you more than the brake loss of rear drums IMO .

I love the deep dish wheels and fat tires .you could easily sell a narrowed rear

Looks great as is. I currently have a 15"×12" wheel on the rear of my Challenger with mini tub and a Dana 60 with a spool. I run either a 29.5x10.5W slick or 315/60/15 Drag Radials.
