This is actually more of a question in 2010 I purchased from PG Classics new seat covers for my '72 challenger
fast forward to 2013 when I finally got around to having them installed only to find (from my upholsterer)
that these new covers were too small /tight to use on my '72
he had thoughts that perhaps they were for an earlier challenger or cuda
my question in all of this were the earlier (70 or 71 ) seats smaller physically
I would like to find a home for these covers but not sure how to verify what they fit
(ps; I did try to return them with No luck)
thanks for any input
Enzo

Are you sure that they didn't shrink with age and dryness?

The grain and stitch patterns are different from year to year. So the 72 seat covers will not be correct for a 70 or 71. They may be common with 72-74, but I'm not sure.

FYI: We bought a set of Legendary black covers for my son's 72 Ralley Challenger and had them fit with new foam and all. Our trim guy was very happy with how they installed and the lack of wrinkles in the fit when finished. He liked them and we did also.

What a difference putting them out in 90 degree heat makes even on white. (70 challenger). On my 68 cuda I used real thin poly then pulled it out after . But I'm sure you interior guy knows this.

From what I have seen of PG's parts they have become better over the years. That said, you have an older set of seat covers. Post a pic of the covers and the seats so we know for sure what you are working with.

I feel your pain brother!
I had the same problem with a set of 1970 Challenger seats skins that I bought from PG Classic parts (Canada) in 2012. -I had the seat skins for 45 DAYS, before my upholstery shop had an opening to take on the installation. (...and the skins were too small!) -My upholsterer showed me the PG skins side by side with the OEM skins, and there was a HUGE difference in size ...(SLIGHTLY smaller than OEM would be expected, to make up for the age and distressed original skins). When I called PG Classic to inform them of the defective parts they sold me, they told me that they only had a 30 DAY warranty/return policy. (WOW, No refund, no exchange!) ...needless to say, I will not buy from them again. Therefore, I am unaware of any improvements PG Classic has made to any of their product line, but hopefully improvements have been made (for our sake, and theirs). So, ...sad to say, you're not alone in this experience with PG Classic parts.
...Honestly, if PG Classic had offered to either refund my money, or send me the proper parts I paid for, I would still be a customer today. --It's just good business practice, simple as that.
Jeff.
