My friend that is helping me with body work lost the Cuda shaker hood trim ring that I bought last summer from Year One. I ordered another from Year One, same part number and received what I believe to be a much lower quality item. It seems to be lightweight, aluminum maybe, with indentions on the top surface where studs are located and where the shape transitions from the rib down the center of hood to flat flange. The new one also did not come with a gasket. I confirmed with AMD that this is their part sold by Year One. Year One agreed to take it back but I am trying to find one with better quality. I don't want to get same thing again. Does anyone have direct experience with these and knows who is selling the better part? Is it PG Classic? I see that theirs comes with the gasket. The alternative would be to smooth this one with a little filler.
