Signals do not cancel

Hey guys, I recently got a 71 Challenger and the signal lights won’t cancel.
I took it apart and it looks brand new. The previous owner said he replaced it.
I’m not sure what makes the switch cancel. Is it the spring on the bottom of the Crush Can ? I have some pictures. Thanks
