I'm in need of advice from the local six pak experts
-combo is a 440-6 ('72 chall) (motor is .030- eddy 84cc heads, 4 speed,
ss springs , drag shocks )
that I've been taking to the track recently. Best run 12.79 @ 107mph
It ran back to back to back passes and then a slight bog that turned into a major bog.
I now have a major bog coming out of the hole- I've experimented with pump cams and squirters as well as timing combo's-no luck
any suggestiions appreciated
thanks
Enzo

If they're vacuum, you may have a torn diaphram in one of the vacuum pods allowing the outboard carbs to dump open too soon.

6 pak bog update

Hello fellas
Sorry it took so long to respond
I finally got back to the track on July 18th weekend
Started the day 15Deg initial timing 38deg total-outboard carbs 3/4 turn
stll bogging
Started by pulling a liitle timing out (Wheel spin -new BFG ta's)
Changed to #32 Squirter still bogging but seeming to get better
Changed Diaphrams universal to Purple -mile an hour picked up- still hesitation
on the 8th pass changed pump cam from orange to pink
still a slight bog
made a 9th pass- no bog ...car worked great
unfortuneatly a Phord behind me oiled the track and the day was done
I hope to get to the track this weekend and try again
thanks for all your advise and I'll keep you posted
Enzo
