well, it turns out that my gear box is shot. I'd love to order the FF box, but all the shipping and the cost of the unit is too high for me right now. NAPA has a reman unit for $130.00. Anyone have an opinion on NAPA products? it has a limited lifetime warranty.

I don't see the problem with using it. You can't beat the price. If you were using the car for a road race car then maybe an upgrade piece would be in order but for a cruiser I don't see spending the extra cash. That cash could be spent on something else that you might need or want for the car.
