"super servo" broke metal support ring

So I was installing a new rear servo...the steel one made by "shift" (an ebay special) and I managed to break the metal ring that comes with it....the paper says this ring is for added support only.. Not to seal or anything like that....I need to get the car back going again asap, will it be alright to run it without that support ring for a short while until I can find another?

Is this the super servo made by Superior or Sonnax?

There are few makers of this product, and if I know who made it, I might be able to help.
