The useless thread

Good morning - good morning!
Well I have a 122 mile round trip in the works today! Off to see the specialists on my quarterly eye exam.

Photo taken this morning.

I hope all goes well.

All is good. Thank you Wonder Woman and those in agree.

I was concerned about the drive there and back. That layer of snow was nothing to worry about. No snow, no ice, only wet. Then it dried out. Something this 'ole desert rat could handle.

As far as my eyes are concerned, normal pressure with the promise of cataract and stent surgery in the near future. I have glaucoma with the on-set of cataracts. No thanks to my European heritage with the glaucoma part. That's been really difficult to deal with. I had surgery in one eye already. You know that old promise said by children where it goes, "cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye"? The last post surgery found me having that "stick a needle in my eye" part five times over two months so the pressure could be adjusted. No fun!

Now I have a new doc since I moved. This guy is good and was on contract with the AF Academy in Colorado Springs. Still requires me to hop in my daily driver, every quarter, to have it all checked out. I don't mind really. It's always a fun drive down the canyon...when the road is dry.

Good to hear.
Had cataract surgery years ago.
Do daily eye drops for high eye pressure.

Funny ass movie I have to watch it again. I am sure I missed a bunch from it.
It's one of those movies you have to watch several times or you miss a lot of site and line jokes.
Being a little person I really liked the black and white protest song in support of little people.

All that frozen stuff, from a few days ago, melted off and it dried up some. So I decided it was time to saddle-up and ride. Pulled the Challenger out of the garage, with that 440 sounding really healthy. I had an errand run to town (5 miles down the road), so I took the long way out of our development and eased into it out on the hyway. My ride was sounding so good with the cam bumping along at 55 mph (the set speed limit down this hyway)! I took care of my business in town and started home. Heading back I decided to 'play' a little bit, jumping on the throttle, running it up to 80 and backing off (gotta blow that winter carbon out - Right?). At one part of this hyway is a sweeping curve. Betcha know where this is going now, don't cha? There, with his 6' wide suv, hiding behind a 4" wide tree was the county sheriff with his radar. I wish I could had taken a photo of that, because it was funny. Thank goodness for the distance and for the 3:92s bringing down the speed to a reasonable 50 mph without making it too obvious!!!

I haven't had a moving violation for years and I'm not going to start now! LOL!

Some days you get the bear. Some days he gets you.

Reminds me of this
A bear walks into a bar and orders a beer
Bartender: We do not serve bears in this bar
Bear asks for a beer again
Bartender: We do not serve bears in this bar
So he asks once more and says if I do not get a beer I will eat that woman at the end of the bar.
Bartender: We do not serve bears in this bar
Bear just tears into her then askes for a beer again
Bartender says we do not serve drug addicts in this bar either
Bear is confused he says what do you mean by that?
Bartender: THAT WAS A BARBITCHYOUATE!

Too funny.

All I did was research on my crazy Cuda build. This Winter has taken some steam out. Been above freezing for days and still have a couple feet of snow. First big race for A-body bracket car is Memorial weekend. It always gets tight. But this year? Need miracle energy! Not just for car. Tow vehicle and trailor needs attention. Drag racing is not a sound financial hobby?

My dead husband always said.
We humans are a strange creature.
We spend endless hours of our life, and a fortune in money for a few seconds of fun.

Absolutely gorgeous day, today!

Wrenches are out, radio is on with classic rock playing and I'm off to turn those wrenches!!!
