Now that is hilarious. The flammable placard on the tailgate is a nice touch too!

We would have to explain to the younger generation that it's like a smart car that can burst into flames when rear ended.

My first car was a hand me down 72 Pinto wagon; red, with the fake wood siding... just terrible. But in only 6 months I saved enough money to buy a 66 VW bug. It was an even bigger POS. It had more oil leaks than moving parts, and burnt oil, or exhaust would come inside if you turned on the heat.

Another thing, when a Pinto with Firestone 500 tires on it came into the shop, we would cover our ears and go to the back room. The customer would jump out of their car and want to know what was wrong ?? We would explain the gas tank exploding reputation coupled with a Firestone 500 spare tire as a fuse! Some didn't appreciate the humor.
For the youngsters, the first major tire recall came about in the early 70's when radial technology had not been perfected and many, many steel belted radial tires suffered from tread separations and blow-outs.
Thus the referring to the tire as a fuse

A good size storm just rocked central Arkansas and other areas as well. I get home without power, trees down in the area. So, remodeled the house last year and guess where the keys to the storm doors are ?? Yea, in the house.Brilliant! Geese!
So, my old broke up ass climbed the privacy fence, get in the shop and have to remove a side rail (storm door) to the home to get in. Everyone ok though. Damn

I have seen some at Hub City dragstrip with 460’s motors, tubbed with big tires running 9.0’s. Still pretty ugly ;)
