I am restoring a 1970 Challenger R/T with a 383 Magnum, 4160 Holley 4 barrel, 4 speed transmissions.
When I bought the car the carb was in a box and there was no linkage or accelerator cable. I purchased a new accelerator cable but there must be more to the story!
Can anyone help me with the proper linkage setup? Where to purchase?
Thanks!

The linkage would be for the automatic kickdown. In 70 there was a lock out linkage to help deter thieves for the 4 speed. Do you have the stud on the carb for the cable to attach to? Post some pics of what you have so we can tell you what you are missing.

Looks like you have it attached like most people do it. You can go to Summit or Jegs and get an adapter for the Holley so it connects properly to the Mopar cable.

Is there a reason you can't place the cable end on the spud, then place the spring on the groove to hold the cable end in place ? I have an Eldebrock, but I'm using that same spud (facing out instead of in) and that's how mine is.

Here's mine, same as yours except using the Bouchillon Performance transmission cable. I think it is cleaner looking
and all cables are in line with the carb linkage. Bouchillon's kit comes with everything needed to attach throttle cable
and tranny cable and ensures full to closed throttle without binding or loss of one or the other. Personally, I can't
stand bell cranks.HPIM3693.jpg
