Just wanted to see what everyone thought about those stick on tire lettering.
I have 17" rims and a low profile tire (all black) and thought white lettering would spruce it up. Some thing like a race tire where the lettering was large and rolled over a little.

Racing tires had the lettering painted on. Actual white lettering on a tire requires 2 more layers of rubber to achieve. Not very practical with the extreme flexing on a radial ply tire sidewall. That is why you don't see w/w or raised letters on real, high performance tires or race tires.

We used www.tirestickers.com to put redlines on my sons Mustang, (tire size he needed isnt available with them) they permanently apply and gave him the retro '68 Shelby look he was looking for.

I have cleaned my tires for cruises and car gatherings with a good cleaning with Purplestuff Degreaser then followed up with 303 rubber protectant. These 225x60x14 tires are 20 years old. And they still look good.

Your tires look good, but;
Hope you are not cruising on 20 year old tires.
Great for show; not for go!
Hope you are safe.

Thank you my friend, I am truly aware of the importance of wearing safe boots. Thanks for the compliments, I guess I wanted to see how long a set of these things would go and still look good. Don’t take her out as much anymore. But a new set will find its way on. Al
