In need of advise- I have found 4 brand new bf goodrich radial t/a for 200.00
but tire size is p225/60r14. They have a tire diameter of 24.7 inches. Will the
tires be to small for my 70 challenger?????

They will fit the rims with no problems. But they will be much shorter than the original tire size. When you say "brand new" do you mean that they have like new tread depth and are from a private party? If so, check the tire's D.O.T. date code for actual tire age . A date code should be newer than #1208. This translates to the twelfth week of 2008.
The tire compounds deteriorate with age, hardening and losing flexibility which in turn can cause the tire tread to seperate at hi-way speeds.
I would use a larger tire. The 14" rim size will limit your tire choices. Even the 15" size is getting harder to find. Since disc brakes became standard on cars the rim sizes have had to get larger for brake ventilation and the wider treads for improved braking and cornering.
Remember that our cars are forty plus years old and so was the technology. There are companies that are reproducing the old rim designs with modern rim diameters of 16" and 17" that look close to the same as the Ralley and Road wheel designs.
