hello everybody , i am new to this forum so i am going to introduce myself, i am handicapped and getting up there in age, due to these problems i must pay for all work done on my most beautiful beast my 74 challenger. i just finished getting it back from its beauty redoo and it is stunning, i changed the hood to a 340 hood but the air cleaner will not fit, the intake must be a high rise and i have a 750 holly carb on, this is the original 318 engine and i spent every cent on the body job, so i am looking for some sort of job or deal that might help ; the engine has some work done on it , cannot say what has been done , the owner was a high performance guy who when selling the car changed engines from his dragster engine back to this one. may have a slight performance cam , 3 in exhaust , intake, what intake do you suggest i try to get thank you

Welcome to the site from Michigan and thanks for joining up!
Might be best to start a post in the Engine Issues forum. You will get more responses. Also post up some pictures of your intake set up.

2 of the best intakes are the stock 340 & the LD340 both sit low but make great HP so that is what I would suggest .
Welcome BTW

Welcome to FEBO. Pictures are a plus. Please don't tease.

Post some pictures and the intake manifold info. We need to see your setup.
You may just need to install an aftermarket "drop-base" air cleaner with filter.

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Please post some pictures when you get a chance. The rallye hood has a little more clearance than a flat hood for clearance. A picture of what intake manifold you have might help! The best small block intakes are the LD340 and stock as mentioned. We need a little more info!
