Hi, I just received this new Edelbrock 1407 and I have installed it on my newly rebuilt 440 cid. I am up in the rocky mountains just above denver and need some help. I have tuned Holleys before but never an Edelbrock. Can someone tell me where I start? It is running very rich cause it ofcourse was calibrated at sea level.
All help is appreciated.

The Edelbrock carbs are much more difficult to tune as there is less adjustability in the circuits & less circuits with any adjustment . If you got the owners manual it has a chart for adjusting jetting if not I believe it is online , check the flaot levels , it is virtually impossible to tune the idle & jet bleeds for low vacuum engines . make sure you have enough initial timing advance , general tuning for any altitude
