Installed year one aluminum 17 inch ralleye wheels on my 73 Barracuda and the studs are definitely too short. I have searched hours on every forum and can't find a straight answer for info on longer studs. Has anyone replaced front and rear studs for aluminum wheel install? And if so where did you locate the parts? Thanks in advance!

You can try aftermarket race studs like ARP or Strange , they are usually 3" long but can be cut down .
You need 1.5 times the diameter in thread engagement minimum so for 1/2" studs you need 3/4"of thread engagement

Thanks for the help! Moser also offers part 8020 with a .685 knurl that will work on the front. Just in case anyone else has this issue

According to YearOne, you must use the special lug nuts that they supply with the wheels. Factory lug nuts will not work.
They say nothing about stud replacement.
Just an FYI for anyone else with the issue.. there is nothing special about the ones they send other than the head length (at least not the ones I got), they are standard chrome conical nuts on the seating end. The holes in the wheels require longer than factory nuts just because they're countersunk but it doesn't help the fact that they only thread on about 3/8 in the front and 1/4 in the rear due to stud length.

You are right. !/4 to 3/8 thread engagement is not enough. Gook luck with the change.

I had to replace all my studs when I went to my Superlites. I found front ones that were the right length. The back ones I had to install and cut down to length.

8010 with .625" Knurl Diameter are what fit my front rotors... “¯\_(ツ)_/¯“
