Hi guys,
I havent postet much yet, much because I never owned a Mopar - until now.
Since one month I am proud owner of a 70s Challenger R/T over here in Germany.
You guys in the US have the luck that it is much more uncomplicated to buy and own such a nice vehicle. Anyway I am very happy with my new beauty and I will take good care of it
Unfortunately the history of my Challenger is very incomplete and I would love to know more about its history.
My hope is, that someone of you Mopar guys knows something about it or a previous owner or at least you can give me some advice how to go with that.
About the car itself - some tag numbers:
E63: 383 cid 4 barrel V8 H.P. 335hp - still in the car
D13: 3 Speed Manual Transmission-Floor Shift - converted to 4 spd Hurst shifter
EK2: Go Mango Exterior Color - repainted once
HRX9: Trim - High, Leather Bucket Seats, Black - seems to be new
318: Build Date: March 18
EK2: Go Mango Top Color
A01: Light Package
A62: Rallye Instrument Cluster Package
A63: 70 only Challenger Moulding Group
C16: Console w/Woodgrain Panel
G36: OS Dual Racing Mirrors
J45: Hood Tie Down Pins
J54: Sport Hood
N41: Dual Exhaust
N42: Chrome Exhaust Tips
R22: AM Radio with 8 Track (10 Watts) - has been converted
V68: Longitudinal Stripes, Deleted - preowner added them
Y05: Build to USA Specs
The Preowner added the Go-Wing.
What I know about the history:
As far as I see from the title the preowner (Randy R. from Huntington Beach, CA) bought it January 2017 from Marietta Tomchik - Sports Car Gallery of Beaver Falls, Inc, PA.
Unfortunately the company is closed permanently and the e-mail account is not active anymore.
The preowner said that he bought the car back in 2006 (thats an inconsistency with the title) and put a good amount of money in it. It seems that it has been a bigger restauration at that point.
The body seems to be very good, it only get a new trunk floor welded in.
The car has been repainted with the original colour about 15 years ago.
The interior has been renewed about 10 years ago.
Pics:
The car has been imported (for you exported ) by a german salesman.
Due to that I dont have any contact data of the preowner. All I know is that he moved from CA to Idaho a few month ago.
Maybe someone can help me or know that car - that would be really great.
So long
