Hi, I'm doing a restore on my first car and ran into a snag. The upper door frame I believe it's called is rotted on mine. Needing to know if anyone has one or a pair I can buy. This is the part below the roof, inside of the drip rails, and above the side windows. They apparently do not repop this part, they make like every other part of the car but not this one for some reason. My car is a 74 but the part may be the same for 70-73 and even if it's different per year I could probably use it. Thanks, Feel free to call/text me at 727-3six4-43six8 or email me at Soldierboy0098@yahoo.com with a picture of the part and how much you are asking. Thanks, Trevor.

I thought Dynacorn was making the full LH/RH bodyside structures (of which that's a part), but apparently they're only making them for Challengers.

Speaking from some experience (my car had pretty bad rot in the structure at the rear corners of the side glass--thanks, vinyl top!), that area wouldn't be impossible to repair but it would be time-consuming. However, on the bright side, that whole area will be hidden once the car's assembled so you don't have to shoot for perfection either.

You're (obviously) going to need both a roof and drip rails as well. I'd suggest getting the old ones off first, assessing the full extent of the damage, and start making a patching plan. No shame in multi-piece patches; welds are still steel. I changed the drip rails and roof on my car by myself, in my garage, using ratchet straps to raise/lower it from the garage-door rails. There was a lot of prayer and trial fitment--I'd never attempted any body work previously. A friend that grew up in a body shop said neither he, nor his Dad could have done it any better.

I highly suggest getting a Blair Rota-Broach spot-weld cutter (run it sloooow, like 400RPM) and about 20 pair of cheap 11" C-clamp locking pliers without swivel tips.
