So I have asked over and over what store provides good part for our car. Not one time in over 30 answers has anyone mentioned year one. I watch Graveyard Cars and they talk about year one yet none of you do. Then I go to the website and they have everything for our cars. My question is why are you guys not telling me about Year One or Classic Industries?

I used to buy a lot of things from Year One, they are good for one stop shopping, but I feel they purposely overcharge on shipping, by a lot! They might have a few exclusive items but 99.9% of their stuff is available elsewhere.

Actually, I just did a shout out post for Classic Industries - see previous post. Year One is great also, especially for parts that match what was original and one stop shopping like Adam stated. But they tend to be a little more expensive. I just ordered the positive battery cables from Year One. $171 out the door, ouch. But it looks like factory, so for me it's worth it and I could not find another supplier. Over to the right on this page you will see Detroit Muscle and Just Mopar. I have gotten stuff from them and they worked out nicely also. Legendary and PST are other suppliers for specific parts. I tend to shop around for price, but now I am more into availability, and matching original (within reason).

I have over $10,000 in year one parts on my car. I buy when they have a 30% off sale. They also sell stuff on ebay with free shipping and yes the price is slightly higher than on their website, but still less than their website without the 30% discount.

I also have brought specialist items of Year one, but find them expensive. For me personally I prefer too buy parts from Dantes, good pricing and most importantly for me great customer service. As I live in New Zealand I need to have confidence in the supplier that the goods will turn up.
Ironically the last big order I placed with Dantes most of the interior items had come from Year One and other parts had come from random suppliers but were all top quality.

My "go to" company is Classic Industries without question. They are typically cheaper than Year One on specific items and have far better customer service.
I do, however, shop around for price, most of the time. In the last 20 years I have amassed a good list of vendors that offer top quality, American made parts with quick shipping, and have been able to save quite a bit of money and still get high quality parts. It just takes a little more time.

I cannot in good faith recommend a company or service that I do not have confidence in. I have bought my share of parts from Year One but don't particularly care how they do business. It seems that the generic items are always offered for the discount but other, more specific, have-to-have parts are always discount or free shipping exempt. Also, they do not make it clear what they have in stock or not, or make any effort to notify you when it might be available. I have waited months on some items that obviously were backordered, and have been paid for, with no correspondence what so ever as to the status of the order.

I value good quality parts, fast shipping, and good quality customer service. That is what I have considered in assembling my list of vendors. But that's just me!

I was looking at Dante's and they ship the front door panels for 75 but the rear panels for 150. Still trying to figure that out.

I have spent my share with yearone. Back in the early 90’s it’s was the source for what I needed. Over the past 5-7 years, I’d get to checkout and the shipping charges were inflated. I know as we sheen shipping parts for 30 years. Got the same feeling. I’m not not downing yearone because they’ve helped me on many OE parts and AM. Always easy to talk to as well. I just haven’t needed anything in the past 10 years. All in all, good company for me. JMO

Oh. I am sure I will be buying from them. Just have to get the body ready first. Those things take months but I was surprised at the low cost of interior parts for this car. Must my dash in the cougar was over $700 and it was not even a close match. The upholstery was almost $1000 with foam. No one makes new door panels and the upholsterer had sex with me. To put it bluntly. At least the headliner and vinyl top was not too bad.

The only reason I stay away from year one is because their website sucks. Its in dire need of an overhaul. Try searching for anything on their website and you will usually come up empty.
