For you'll with a S/E Vinyl top. What did you use to lay over the window plug? Before install.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 1/8" piece of foam. What did you use?
Thanks

If I remember correctly, mine had an aluminized self sticking tape over the screw holes to give a flat appearance under the vinyl top. It's been a long time.

I just did my vinyl top last year. I bought sandable foam off ebay. I glued it not just to the window plug but also on the roof and the sanded it flush. That is the way it was when I pulled the old vinyl. It really looks good and leaves no noticeable gap roof to window plug.

Is yours a white SE as well? Do you have the rallye hood? Would be great to see how that looks. Still debating with myself if I change that. Its so hard to find good pictures of a white 70 with vinyl. I do have a flat one right now. Here are some more Pictures of my car top.

Yes, my car is a S/E it's at the body shop right now.
It does have a R/T hood, however it is suppose to have a standard (flat) hood.
The previous owner changed it. I kind of wish he had left it alone due to the fact its a number matching car. But oh well.

Thought yours was white too because of that profile picture. I would definitely make sure that the flat hood would stay with my car in case I decide to put on a rallye hood. My hood has still the original paint. Just let me know if you need any detail pictures or anything putting that SE stuff back together.

Thank You, originally Burnt Orange. That's the color I'm sticking with. Is yours a small or Big Block?

I would stay with that color too. That my favorite for an SE. It looks especially great with vinyl top and longitudenal stripe.

Mine is originally a 318. The previous owner changed it it to a 340 but kept the matching engine.
